Soil Evaluation

AGRO/NRES/SOIL 279

This is a 1-credit course that is offered every fall. Students in the class participate in the regional soil judging contest, which is held in a different state each year. This class can be repeated so that students have the opportunity to attend more than one soil judging contest.

Great Plains Field Pedology

NRES 477/877, SOIL 477, GEOG 467/867

This 4-credit course is taught every spring. Prereqs are AGRO/SOIL153. Students will learn principles of soil morphology, genesis, classification, and mapping through a combination of lecture, hands-on labs, and field trips.
